A new Civil Defense totem was inaugurated on Friday, November 3, 2023, which allows the public to be informed in real time about weather conditions and alert levels given by the Civil Defense Department.
The totem, in addition to explaining what is meant by yellow, orange, and red alerts, is equipped with a monitor where information is promptly communicated to the population, not only regarding any hydrogeological disruption phenomena that may be underway, but also regarding the Covid-19 emergency and other information of interest to the area.
The new information point was installed in front of the “Mirror of the Times Foundation” Preschool, which is considered by the Municipal Administration to be another strategic place for information dissemination.
It is the fifth totem pole installed in the City of Canelli, after those placed in Piazza Cavour corner Viale Indipendenza, in Piazza della Repubblica near the Istituto Comprensivo G.B. Giuliani, at the U. Bosca School and at the Scuola dell'Infanzia Statale Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa.
