The tailor shop was linked to the Robusto family’s cloth shop, which traded hemp, silk and wool cloths.
In the fifteenth century, and even in more recent times, girls went to sewing school in tailoring where they learned the craft of seamstress.

The municipal project "I muri raccontano..." (The walls tell...) is a major camouflage of the town created by Luigi Amerio: through pictorial art, the walls and house facades represent Fontanile's past from the Middle Ages to the present day.
