Castle of Roatto

The castle appears today to have been profoundly transformed: massive and sturdy in appearance, it is characterized by a semi-cylindrical tower that partially protrudes from a smaller building, carved perhaps from part of the original complex.

Surrounded by a small park with tall trees, does not lack its own charm, favored by its picturesque hillside location.

It was built in unspecified times by the Montafia family, descendants of the Count of Vercelli, Manfredo, lords of Roatto, Maretto, Tigliole, Montafia and other places.
