The ancient castle of Dusino, considered one of the oldest castles in Monferrato, was built around 1100.
Commissioned by the Asinari family, the first feudal lords of the village, it was then remodeled during the 1300s.
Originally the south, east and west sides were surrounded by a moat filled with water for defensive purposes, while a fortified wall had been built on the north side.
During the nineteenth century it was purchased in multi-ownership by several local families who changed its appearance.
A mullioned window decorated with terracotta and tuff elements is still evident.
