On December 15th 2018, in the Collina San Secondo area, in Ferrere, the new area called Belvedere of S. Secondo was inaugurated, a particularly evocative site and one of the most beautiful balconies overlooking the seven hills surrounding Ferrere.
The area is located on a property of the Municipality, previously unused, just below the Chapel of S. Secondo Martire, probably built in the seventeenth century, where passes the road that is part of the “paths of Saints and Brigands” (Regional Hiking Heritage).
The accommodation designed by Studio Morra of Asti, which places a work of art by Sergio Omedè in the most important and panoramic point, has been designed as a rest area for travelers, cyclists, tourists and residents, to relax and also to meditate.
The work is called “Ferro del Mare Padano”: in addition to Ferrere, five other works by the artist are being installed, in as many points of view, in Mongardino, Montaldo Scarampi, Rocca d Arazzo, Rocchetta Tanaro and Vigliano d'Asti.
